Florida Probate Cost 2026: A County-by-County Guide
May 4, 2026Bucelo Diaz Law is proud to announce that our founding attorney and partner, Alexis Bucelo Diaz, Esq., LL.M., has been selected to the Florida Rising Stars list by Super Lawyers — a distinction reserved for the top 2.5% of attorneys in the state.
Admitted to the Florida Bar in November 2010, Alexis has spent the last 15 years building a practice dedicated to helping Florida families protect what matters most their loved ones, their legacies, and their peace of mind.
A Recognition Earned, Not Given
The Rising Stars designation is not a credential you can apply for. Selections are made through a patented, multi-phase process that combines statewide peer surveys, independent research, and practice-area peer reviews. Of the tens of thousands of attorneys practicing in Florida, only a small fraction earn a spot and earning it signals that an attorney has built a meaningful reputation among the lawyers who know the work best: her peers.
For Alexis, that recognition reflects what her clients have experienced firsthand, a dedicated advocate who brings both technical depth and genuine care to every family she serves.

About Alexis

Alexis is a proud triple Hurricane. She earned her Bachelor of Arts, Juris Doctor, and Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Estate Planning all from the University of Miami School of Law. The LL.M. in Estate Planning program from the University of Miami School of Law is widely regarded as one of the premier specialized credentials in the field a program designed specifically to train attorneys in the sophisticated tax, trust, and wealth-transfer planning techniques that estate planning actually requires.
Before founding Bucelo Diaz Law, Alexis worked at Northern Trust, in the estate settlement department, one of the nation’s most established wealth management and trust administration firms. That experience is more than a line on a resume, it means Alexis has worked inside the institutions that actually administer estates and serve as trustees. She’s seen firsthand how wills, trusts, and estate plans perform after they leave the drafting attorney’s office, which informs how she structures plans for her own clients today.
That combination of institutional experience and specialized academic training shapes how Alexis approaches every engagement. Whether she’s guiding a family through their first estate plan, administering a probate, or structuring a trust to protect a loved one’s legacy, her work is grounded in a depth of perspective most general practitioners simply don’t have.
A Miami native, Alexis is a wife and mother — and she brings that personal understanding of family to every client she serves. When she sits down with a family to plan their future, she knows exactly what’s at stake, because she’s planned for her own.
What This Means for Our Clients
Our clients often come to us during some of the most difficult moments of their lives — after losing a loved one, when planning for incapacity, or when ensuring their own wishes are honored for the people they care about most. They deserve more than generic forms and surface-level advice. They deserve an attorney who has invested the years of specialized training required to do this work well.
Alexis’s recognition by Super Lawyers is an affirmation of the standard we hold ourselves to at Bucelo Diaz Law and a reminder that the families who trust us with their most important matters are in capable, caring hands.
